We are a hunting family, but on looking for a black cob I acquired and fell in love with a 2yo Fell pony, Meres Jumbo Jet. He is an amazing hunter! Only a 4yo but already jumping hedges and keeping up with the bigger hunters no problem! Just goes to show these fabulous little ponies can turn their hoof to anything! Audrey Spencer has sent a new photo of her beloved mare Sleddale Ruth III. "Her pet name is Bess and she is 30yrs old. I have been lucky to have had her since she was 6yrs old. She has been retired for about 4 yrs now and is being looked after very well -- as I am 80yrs old myself and cannot ride any more. She has done me proud by winning in excess of 40 rosettes and 3 trophies and was a reserve champion." August 2012 |
