The FPS office has received many telephone calls and letters regarding the FMD crisis.

Members have requested that their concern and sorrow be communicated to those affected at this dreadful time. Our thoughts and heartfelt commiserations are extended to everyone throughout the UK enduring this nightmare. Cumbria is one of the worst hit regions and we have many members who are livestock farmers in the infected areas. Several of them have already lost stock and others are likely to do so before the disease is halted. The sense of isolation ,helplessness and despair can only be imagined. Often a lifetime's work is destroyed or, at the very least , a whole way of life is disrupted and put on hold.

Members and friends were invited to share in the above sentiments.  You will find those sharings below.
