Lunch, Meeting & Talk by Vyv Wood-Gee
Allanbank Hotel, Greenloaning, FK150LX
Sunday 3rd April 2011

Lunch was a great icebreaker to let the members have a chat before the meeting, some folk knew each other but mostly everyone was new. The meeting was kindly chaired by Ian Smith and was arranged in order to set up a committee to help run the Scottish area group.
Over 1/3 of the Scottish membership attended or sent apologies which was a good response. The committee was quickly setup with 6 volunteers and, as hoped, each geographical area (ie. north, central, south east and south west) has a representative.

Vyv's Talk was great on her recent 2010 journey following the old drove roads from Skye to Smithfield in London on her two Fell ponies. Her adventures had us all in stitches at times. Everyone really enjoyed it, proceeds from the Raffle all went towards Cancer Research.

Tea and Sandwiches followed so that our social could continue and the new committee had their first meeting.

The meeting closed at 11.45pm when the last of the members headed home (only because the pub shut).
